How the math works
Under dual pricing or a cash discount, the card price is a little higher than the cash price. When a customer pays by card, that difference helps cover the processing fee. You still pay fees on every card sale (on the slightly higher card price), so the net cost depends on the price difference, your program's rate and how many customers pay by card. If the result shows a negative number, card sales would cover more than the fees in this scenario; real programs and customer behavior vary.
