Where to find the numbers
Most statements have a summary box near the top with total sales (sometimes called gross sales or amount submitted) and total fees (sometimes called total charges, discount and fees, or fees deducted). If fees are taken daily, the monthly total may appear as a single line. If you can't find them, that's a sign the statement is harder to read than it should be. Here's how to read one.
